Woman Asks Waiter for Photo With Boyfriend, No One Expecting What They Got

When a woman asked a waiter to take a photo of her and her boyfriend, she was just anticipating an ordinary photo to from their vacation—but what she actually got was a cinematic masterpiece that’s left the internet in hysterics.
While enjoying the sights of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, TikTok user Olivia Feltham, 28, (@thatsgroundbreaking) and her boyfriend, Hadrian Mikniche, 30, visited a restaurant in the Burj Khalifa to indulge in some high tea. As they sat at their table, surrounded by miniature cakes and treats, and a view of the extraordinary skyline, Olivia asked the waiter to capture a photo of them to remember the special moment.
However, he went far beyond simply catching a still image of the happy couple, and rather than just one photo, he did a full 360-degree tour of the couple holding hands, their table, and most of the restaurant interior. Feltham told Newsweek that she and Mikniche “were stunned” when they saw the video back, and had to try their best not to laugh.
Toward the end of the video, the waiter even asked them to do a high-five, just to add even more artistry to the memorable clip.
Feltham said: “The view is so incredible and we asked the waiter just to take a picture of us for the memory.
“I knew immediately we were going to look so uncomfortable in the video but it was so funny I didn’t mind. We wanted to burst out laughing, but we wouldn’t have wanted to offend the waiter,” she continued.
After watching the footage, Feltham, from London, couldn’t resist sharing the clip on TikTok, as she joked that the angles did them “so dirty.” In just a number of days, the amusing video has gained more than 5.3 million views and 957,200 likes on TikTok at the time of writing.
Feltham didn’t have the heart to tell the waiter what she thought of his videography, as the TikTok caption explains that she stuck to her “British politeness of not saying anything” instead.
While this certainly wasn’t what Feltham was expecting when she asked for a photo, she couldn’t be happier with the outcome. “Our waiter is the star of this crazy video, and we were just the lucky couple who got to experience his magic,” she said.
Since the hilarious clip went viral on TikTok, internet users are obsessed with this imaginative vacation memento that Feltham will always look back on and she posted a video sharing some of the moment unique screengrabs that came from the waiter’s video.
Needless to say, she wouldn’t have got those snaps if he just took one simple photo.
Feltham has been blown away by the positive response online, which she said has been “so joyful.”
She told Newsweek: “I’ve always been hesitant when posting content as I know the internet can be a harsh place, but everyone has been so kind with their comments. It’s an amazing feeling knowing everyone is laughing along with you.”
In just a few days, the video has amassed over 12,400 comments.
One comment reads: “Born to be a cinematic mastermind, forced to be a waiter.”
Another wrote: “I know y’all were holding back your laughter.”
“Can the waiter launch his videography business already,” added one TikTok user.
While another person joked: “I’m doing this every time someone asks me to take a picture now.”
